Wire-free design should mean better airflow.

German manufacturer be quiet! launched a couple of PSUs at Computex 2017.

The Straight Power 11, available at retail in October 2017, features an internal wire-free design, which means there are no cables inside, allowing for better airflow.

It is now a DC to DC design, features a SilentWings 3 135mm fan, has all-Japanese capacitors and is fully-modular, though it does not have a passive mode. The 80 PLUS Gold supply will be available in 450, 550, 650, 750, 850, and 1,000W capacities and will be backed by a five-year warranty. Pricing will be the same as the current Straight Power 10, we were told.

Moving on, be quiet! is also launching an SFX-L form factor supply dubbed SFX L Power. Though larger than SFX, this supply has the advantage of a 120mm fan, DC-to-DC topology, and is also 80 PLUS Gold certified. We like that it is fully-modular, too, and will be available in 500W and 600W capacities costing 109 and 129 euros, respectively. Interestingly, it will ship with four Pie connectors for potential multi-GPU usage. Available in August and backed by a three-year warranty, it's flexible because the bundle will come with an ATX bracket meaning it will fit into a wide range of systems.
