Conclusion

It would be very easy to spend more on an enclosure that's sexier or quieter, but if your next chassis has to be big on space and low on cost, you'll do well to find something as competitive as the Source 530 for under £80.

Consumers in the market for a new chassis should give consideration to what's on offer from NZXT.

The Californian outfit may be a relative newcomer to this space, but it has quickly built up an impressive array of options across its Phantom, H, and Source series product lines. Overall quality obviously isn't up to the standards of, say, a Lian Li - we're talking more plastic and less aluminium - but the end result is a lot of chassis for your money.

One of the best examples is the newly-released Source 530. Offering full-tower potential for just £80, this is a solid, no-nonsense case that will service most enthusiast builds. We're of the opinion that full-tower and ATX are soon to become dying breeds as the industry transitions to smaller form factors, but for now, if you're unwilling to downsize to something more economical, the Source 530 is a viable option.

Understated design, a cavernous interior, bags of cooling potential and an excellent storage configuration are all part of the appeal. It would be very easy to spend more on an enclosure that's sexier or quieter, but if your next chassis has to be big on space and low on cost, you'll do well to find something as competitive as the Source 530 for under £80.

The Good

Offers a lot of chassis for the money
Can house up to nine fans
Potential for high-end liquid cooling
Rear I/O illumination is a nice touch
Modular storage column works well
Really easy to build into

The Bad

Not designed to run quiet
Cable holes lack rubber grommets
Power button awkwardly placed
Should ship with front intake

Why no decent pictures of the front and shots from above or just 40 degrees angles so we can see how the inside front looks like? Maybe I missed it, but does the top have a filter also?

Other than that, it looks like a decent case.
