G.Skill has launched a number of memory kits designed to help you make the most of the capabilities of your new Intel Xeon W-3175X processor. To give the multitude of cores and threads available room to excel in demanding applications, lashings of RAM will be the order of the day, and G.Skill's range of offerings don't look set to disappoint. Its new ultra-fast, ultra-high capacity Trident Z Royal DDR4 RGB memory kits range in rated frequency from 3200 to 4000MHz, and in size from 48GB (8GB x6) to 192GB (16GB x12).
The G.Skill hexa-channel memory kits are supplied in 6- or 12-module sets and the fastest kit available delivers XMP 2.0 supported memory speeds of up to DDR4-4000 CL17-18-18-38 at 1.35V. G.Skill says it carefully selects Samsung B-die memory ICs for the best performance. In practical terms the extreme performance DDR4-4000 CL17 96GB (8GBx12) memory kit, for example, reaches a read bandwidth speed of 122GB/s. G.Skill says that's a substantial leap over what is possible with current quad-channel platforms.
The new G.Skill Hexa-Channel Trident Z Royal DDR4 RGB kits have been validated by G.Skill running on Asus ROG Dominus Extreme motherboards equipped with the Xeon W-3175X processors.
According to G.Skill, its new Hexa-Channel Trident Z Royal DDR4 RGB kits will become available shortly through its usual worldwide distribution partners. We don't have any pricing details but with memory pricing the way it is currently, expect these expansive, glitzy, premium kits to come with very-premium prices.
For reference, HEXUS recently reviewed the relatively modest 16GB (8GB x 2) G.Skill Trident Z Royal DDR4 RGB kit.
