Snapped during a presentation on “smartphone evolution,” the Samsung Galaxy S3 is listed as having the following features:
- 1.8GHz dual-core processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 12MP camera
- 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD

Phandroid, who was sent the photo, also claims that the new Android handset will be thinner and sport a more rounded shape than its predecessor, the square-shaped Galaxy S2 handset. Judging from the slide, which shows the handset displaying five tray icons, it looks likely it will also run the latest version of Android, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich.
Until Samsung states otherwise we can only treat this as a rumour, and while we’re waiting for the Galaxy Nexus (previously known as Nexus Prime) to launch it’s unlikely we’ll hear an official announcement before then.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the first Android device to run Ice Cream Sandwich, was due to launch this week but release date was postponed following the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs last week.
