Victory in Europe (again)
Summing up, what MOH:EA gives you with one hand, it takes away with the other. The more open levels are great as is the addition of the squad control, but that’s tempered by the rotten squad AI. Similarly, the realism of the secret secondary objective system fades away when you have to pump round after round into what should be just an ordinary guy.The 11 missions won’t take a seasoned FPS shooter more than a day’s solid play to complete and even going back, exploring every level and completing all the secondary missions won’t add more than a few hours onto the total playing time. Overall, MOH:EA has tried to do something new with the series and whilst it has succeeded in places, it’s failed in others, leaving MOH:EA as one for fans of the series giving a better experience than Rising Sun but falling short of the standards set by Medal of Honour: Frontline.
Pros
Expansive open areas
Hidden secondary objectives
Realistic feeling weapons and damage
Squad to control
Nicely rendered environments
Cons
Squad AI thick as the proverbial
Adrenaline mode gives an arcadey feel...
... as do the ‘End of Level Bosses’
Models very blocky
Only 11 missions
