We posted a few screen-shots of the game last week, as EA confirmed a spring 2013 release for Crytek's Crysis 3 first-person-shooter. The firm has now released the game's official announcement trailer, featuring jaw-dropping gameplay footage.
We think Crytek made the right move in bringing back a little foliage, as both the visuals and the subtle movements of plants and leaves left us mighty impressed. The trailer depicts prophet entering the now, dome covered New York, armed with a high-tech bow and arrow, to hunt down the remaining Ceph, in what promises to be a return to the sandbox-like gameplay of the original Crysis game.
In Crysis 2, there were few points in the game where the player was overwhelmed by Ceph to the same extant as human soldiers, however it appears as though the tables may be turned in Crysis 3, which should help to keep gamers on their toes throughout.
