If ever you needed proof that Crystal Dynamics is really ditching the age-old Tomb Raider vine-swinging formula and revitalising Lara Croft into the cinematic era of gaming, then look no futher. The E3 trailer for the latest Tomb Raider game looks fabulous.

“Forget everything you know about Tomb Raider, we are exploring things that have never been done before in this game,” said Crystal Dynamics when the game was originally announced. “This is an origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other.”

This week at E3 should spawn plenty of new details on the new Tomb Raider game, which has yet to receive a release date. And if this trailer is anything to go by, there's a lot to look forward to. Watch this in HD folks!
