Not to be sexist BUT are there any men out there who like to play this game? I tried the first version and hated it! It seemed so pointless but all the people I know who love the game are of the female persuasion.

Watching them play it reminded me of little girls dressing up dolls and playing with their doll houses. Even getting my neighbours to want to kill each other or blocking-up annoying characters so they starved didn't really do it for me, I'm afraid….

*Raises hand* I did enjoy Sims for a while. I got married (in it), but stayed at home whilst my wife went to work. I used to phone up the next door neighbour during the day and she would come round and we'd eat pizza and then have a kiss and cuddle. It was quite addictive.

Now it doesn't interest me, I have my own wife, kids (but not the woman on the side, sadly).
I use to have it on PS2, and just used to have fun seeing how much damage i could do and burn the house down, mainly just to laugh at them running around and seeing the grim reaper.
Sadistic i know, but i couldn't be bothered to do much else :P
I've got the Complete collection of the original and I occasionally get the urge to give it a go, but I'll get bored of it a week later and uninstall it.

A couple of months later I'll repeat the process………
I have it installed on my PC. I bought this summer. I had it before not long after Sims 2 was released but got rid of it.

I bought it because I was fed up of playing a game, creating/leveling up a character then finishing the game and having nothing more I could do with it.

I felt like like having a game that would never end. Turning the whole neighbourhoods into a gothic heavy metal paradise by murdering all the decent normal people and having lots of ghosties flying around.

Unfortunetly, after turning into a vampire and killing loads, I just couldn't bring myself to play after a week. So I never finished my dream. A bit like Tony Blair eh?

Still, it baffles me why the Sims titles still dominate the charts. They must be selling craploads.
And stranger still how it is claimed that it is mainly women who play these games. I thought women don't play video games. And it seems there must be a bloody lot of them.

Still, despite what I have read about Sims 3 (Admitedly not a lot because I cannot be bothered) I can't really see it adding that much new.
