Press release

VIP Computer Centre Ltd (VIP), the UK's leading independent distributor of computer components and peripherals, today announced that it is the exclusive distributor for Northern Europe of the NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision kit, bringing on-screen characters and environments to life for hundreds of PC games.

In addition to the kit, the set-up requires a standard gaming PC with GeForce® 9800GT or above graphics and a 120Hz monitor. Over 300 of the latest games currently work with GeForce 3D Vision, so gamers won't need to fork out for a special version of their favourite game or download a special gaming patch.

The kit will be available from the 1st May 2009, only to VIP customers. Initial stock will only be sold to customers who have secured allocation of 120Hz Samsung monitors.

3D Vision also allows 3D movies to be viewed using NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Movie player software and it will soon be possible to view high-definition 3D digital pictures.

Matt Parrish, Product Manager at VIP, commented: "As anyone who has tried them out will tell you, Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision glasses are the biggest thing to happen to gaming in 2009, so we're delighted that VIP has been named as the exclusive distribution partner for Northern Europe."

Caroline Bunclark, Distribution Marketing Manager at NVIDIA, added: "3D Vision is empowering a new consumer 3D stereo ecosystem for gaming and home entertainment computers. This technology is very highly anticipated and we're working with VIP to bring a new level of immersion to Northern European consumers' PC experience."
