...a little extra care and attention is required to elevate the rig from simply fast to fast and well-rounded.
With PC gaming expected to blossom in the months ahead, system integrators are eager to present up-to-date systems armed with the latest and greatest in PC tech.
Hoping to appeal to gamers with a penchant for all things RGB, Cyberpower's Infinity X10 RTX pairs a 10-core Intel Core i9-10900KF processor with RTX 2080 Super graphics to deliver high-quality, high-resolution gaming credentials at a cost of £2,200. Included in the fee is 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory, a 512GB M.2 SSD and liquid cooling as standard.
Safe choices in all departments, yet eye-catching though it is, a little extra care and attention is required to elevate the rig from simply fast to fast and well-rounded. The fans are as noisy as they are bright, CPU temperature is hotter than we'd like, and the advertised 'ultimate overclock' is by no means as impressive as it sounds. So much so that the system is quicker when set to auto in BIOS.
Bottom line: the Infinity X10 RTX delivers on its promise of high-end gaming credentials, but lacks the overall refinement we expect at this price point.
