Computer memory has historically been seen as a boring part of the PC landscape. Larger capacities and higher speeds have arrived through evolution rather than revolution, and today's memory, by and large, doesn't look much different from 10 years ago.

Yet in a bid to make it stand out, some manufacturers have gone big on heatspreader design, others have begun to explore lighting. This is where the Corsair Vengeance RGB comes in. Evolved out of the LED models from last year, Corsair now offers nearly limitless colour options accessible through its Link utility.

Primed for the enthusiast that has liberally jumped on the RGB bandwagon elsewhere, the Vengeance RGB is simple to configure, runs at adequately high speeds and, quite literally, looks the part. There's a 30 per cent price premium for going down this route, but if you really do want high-quality RGB emanating from memory, the Corsair Vengeance RGB is as good as it gets.
