Conclusion
...overall implementation elevates the Xeneon above its immediate competitors.Just when you think the PC display market couldn't get any more interesting, a heavyweight with a market cap of $2.5 billion arrives on the scene.
Corsair's first monitor, the Xeneon 32QHD165, is aimed specifically at the growing number of gamers migrating to larger displays, and on paper offers an enviable set of characteristics. These include a 2,560x1,440 resolution, adaptive synchronisation at up to 165Hz and excellent out-the-box colour coverage and accuracy.
The IPS panel itself does enough to put Corsair on an even keel, but it is the overall implementation that elevates the Xeneon above its immediate competitors. A sleek aluminium stand lends an elegant appearance that few gaming solutions can match, there's no superfluous RGB lighting, and the gaming and streaming giant has tapped into its vast ecosystem by incorporating baked-in compatibility with hugely popular Elgato gear. The inevitable caveat is cost, and £700 for a QHD panel with middling brightness may be too big an ask for all but Corsair's most fervent fans.
Bottom line: Corsair puts a solid foot forward with the 32QHD165 and we're intrigued to see where the Xeneon range goes from here.
