Conclusion
Performance levels are staggering, temperatures are barely warm enough to warrant a mention, and the whole package keeps reasonably quiet at all times.Ever wondered to yourself how nice it would be to have three liquid-cooled and factory-overclocked GeForce GTX 980s fit into your existing full-tower build with minimal fuss?
Well, now you can, courtesy of the Gigabyte WaterForce. Aimed squarely at a niche set of enthusiast users, this £2,500 collection of extreme graphics hardware delivers in every way that matters. Performance levels are staggering, temperatures are barely warm enough to warrant a mention, and the whole package keeps reasonably quiet at all times.
The fact that WaterForce is a one-stop solution that's relatively easy to install only adds to the appeal, and we don't imagine Gigabyte will have having any difficulty in shifting stock; however there are two noteworthy provisos: cost, obviously, and a somewhat ungainly appearance.
Gigabyte has the right idea in creating one ultimate graphics package for those with deep pockets, but there's work to be done in terms of implementation and presentation. We'd have preferred to have seen WaterForce offered as part of a full-tower chassis as opposed to an add-on, but even still, it's an impressive package for the select few willing to spend big bucks on PC gaming.
