...the last of the Kepler bunch - GTX 760 - has, in our estimation, become the best-performing card available for £200.
Not a great deal of magic went into the production of the GeForce GTX 760. Nvidia's chopping and changing of a previous-generation core isn't going to capture the imagination, but, credit where it's due; taking the GTX 670, disabling an SMX, increasing clock speeds and throwing in a pinch of GPU Boost 2.0 has had the desired effect.
Having already captured the high-end market with the impressive GTX Titan and GTX 780 GeForce cards, the last of the Kepler bunch - GTX 760 - has, in our estimation, become the best-performing card available for £200.
Opportunity beckons and Nvidia's add-in-board partners have been quick off the mark with a wide range of custom-cooled and factory-overclocked GTX 760s that offer a worthwhile upgrade path for gamers with cards that are two or three generations old.
Proving once again that a gamer-grade card can be enhanced with a little customisation, EVGA's Superclocked ACX is able to deliver excellent performance and quality cooling in a tidy package priced competitively at £220. There's no shortage of competition between GTX 760 manufacturers, but if you're in the market for a high-performance card that won't break the bank, the GTX 760 Superclocked ACX more than fits the bill.
The Good
Comfortably faster than reference
Keeps suitably cool under load
Lots of overclocking headroom
The Bad
Stock-clocked memory
Not the quietest GTX 760
