The eVGA e-GeForce 7900 GT CO Superclocked™, when it comes on general sale, seems to be a winner if 7900 GT is what you want. It's priced competitively with other pre-overclocked 7900 GTs and offers performance a definite level above the reference 7900 GT. The cooler is a bit on the crap side but it's easily replaced with a little cash and effort (although that invalidates the excellent warranty). It competes well against similarly priced ATI hardware and comes mostly recommended.
eVGA's e-GeForce 7900 GTX CO Superclocked™ is cheaper at Newegg than similarly clocked GTXs from other vendors, making it good value for money versus competing products, although with Radeon X1900 XTX offering as good performance and better looking pixels for less money, it's hard to recommend for our US readers. The same situation exists in the UK, with X1900 XTX available for £375 inc, in stock and ready to ship from Scan.
The XFX suffers much the same fate, offering too little performance for some £499 inc VAT in the UK. Too expensive by far with Radeon X1900 XTXs at £375 or so.
We therefore struggle to recommend the tested 7900 GTXs as it stands. Despite excellent environmental performance, these overclocked examples don't compete on price/performance with a standard Radeon X1900 XTX.
To sum up, eVGA offer a package in the e-GeForce 7900 GT CO Superclocked™ that makes it worth considering on any shopping list, as and when it comes on sale. The two 7900 GTXs come unrecommended at current pricing.
