Warranty, Availability and Pricing

WAP bits before we conclude. eVGA offer two warranties for their graphics hardware -- Lifetime and 1+1 -- depending on SKU. Since both GT and GTX on test for this article have product numbers ending in AX, the Lifetime warranty applies for those. It's worldwide, they're very proud of it and all they ask is you pay the shipping back to the them. They pay for the replacement to come to you and try and turn it around within a few working days. Winner.

eVGA also offer a 90-day step-up program for upgrading your board within 3 months. Buy a board from them and fancy a new one within 90 days? Buy the one from them (as long as it's an upgrade) and you only pay the difference in cost, nothing more. Again, really good stuff and it's part of what makes eVGA boards stand out for us.

XFX offer what they call a double lifetime warranty for the 7900 GTX, which means it's warrantied for the time you have it and the time any second owner has it (that you give or sell it to), as long as the 2nd owner registers it online. However the warranty does come with some explained caveats, so check out the XFX website for details. Like eVGA, XFX seem to look after their customers with a solid warranty.

Availability wise (at the time of writing), the eVGA e-GeForce 7900 GT CO Superclocked™ is seemingly impossible to find in the UK. Scan carry a couple of eVGA 7900 GTs, but not the specific 550MHz Superclocked version on test. Word is it's coming soon to this side of the pond.

In the US, Newegg don't seem to carry the tested 550MHz version either just yet. Look out for it soon.

For the two GTXs, Newegg have the eVGA here but aren't carrying the 700MHz XFX just yet (although they have a 690/875 version available). In the UK the XFX is carried by Scan, here, but it's out of stock, and the eVGA is as hard to find (in 690MHz form at least) as the GT. Keep your eye out.

So availability of these high-clock versions isn't great over here or in the US, with only the eVGA GTX listed, in-stock and available at the time of writing, and then only in the US.

Price wise, Newegg want $574.00 without shipping for the eVGA e-GeForce GeForce 7900 GTX CO Superclocked™ and Scan will relieve you of £499.32 inc VAT for the XFX 700MHz GTX in the UK.

Pricing for the eVGA GT (UK and US, with eVGA listing it at their own store for $349.99 MSRP), XFX GTX (US) and eVGA GTX (UK) as and when we get it, dated of course for your reference.
