Final Thoughts and Rating
In Win's open-air chassis continue to leave us facing a bit of a conundrum. Like last month's XFrame test bench, the mid-tower H-Frame is ridiculously expensive, at Ā£300, its separated aluminium plates offer very little protection for your hardware - particularly against dust or liquid spills - and the feature-set isn't anything to write home about.
Yet, this limited-edition case is so unique in appearance that you can't help but appreciate its individuality. There are plenty of affordable chassis on the market that tick the traditional enclosure checklist, but if you've got the cash and you're looking for something a little different, it's worth considering the H-Frame; this is a chassis that brings a smile to your face each time you see it.
Noise is definitely an issue - be wary of arming this case with loud-running components - and regular maintenance will be required to minimise dust build up, but someone out there with the time and the patience to look after an open-air solution is going to have a lot of fun with the H-Frame. We just wish it came with a transparent side panel to show off the eye-catching interior.
Bottom line: Ridiculously expensive, loud and completely unnecessary? Yep, the H-Frame is all of those things, but it's also very, very cool.
