South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung is never short of a new product or two, and it has today taken the opportunity to unveil the latest additions to its SyncMaster line of PC monitors.

The company's new models - the F2380MX (below, left) and F2370H (below, right) - measure in at 23in and both offer full-HD, 1,920x1,080 resolutions along with an impressive static contrast ratio of 3,000:1. That's about 150,000:1 in terms of dynamic contrast ratio, says Samsung.

Elsewhere, you'd be looking at a generous viewing angle of 178 degrees, and whilst a detailed specification is nowhere to be seen, we're assuming these are based on the same tech found in Samsung's existing F2380 and therefore presume there's a C-PVA panel within.

For the professional crowd, the all-white F2380MX offers an adjustable tilt-and-swivel stand that allows for use in portrait mode. Whilst for the home user, Samsung's glossy-black F2370H makes use of the company's "Touch of Colour" design and sports a "luxurious" transparent edge.

The good news is we know they're coming to Korea priced at ₩397,000 (£215) for the F2370H and ₩417,000 (£225) for the F2380MX. The bad news is there's no mention of international availability yet.

Hmmm, one of these or the Dell E-IPS could be a tough descision. Are their any significantly glaring picture quality defferences between the possible PVA and IPS panels ?
Bring em to the UK for under £250 and I'd be tempted!
hard choice between that LED acer with 5m:1 ratio and the MX
C-PVA? what is that?
No 120hz, no sale.
