Dell is on something of a roll with its full-HD monitors and having recently launched the 27in UltraSharp 2709W monitor, it already has quite the line-up.
It isn't resting on its laurels, though, and has today added a new monitor to its range, the 24in S2409W - a full-HD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Unless we've missed one previously, we believe this is Dell's first 24in 16:9 display, and it offers a true widescreen resolution of 1920 x 1080 making it ideal for 1080p movie playback.
Aside from its aspect ratio, the display's specification is fairly standard. It offers a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, 300cd/m2 brightness, and a 5ms response time.
Unlike Dell's recently launched displays, the S2409W doesn't provide DisplayPort connectivity. Instead, you'll find the usual HDMI, DVI and VGA.
It all sounds a little basic, but the key component is the relatively-low $379 price-tag. The display is yet to appear on Dell's UK website, but with the similarly-spec'd 24in E248WFP priced at £263 and the 27in 2709W priced at £439, we'd expect this one to land at around the £250 mark.
