AOC continues to fill-out its gaming monitor stable with the launch of two new '3-sided frameless' VA panel equipped models today. The AOC AGON AG322QCX 31.5-inch QHD, and AGON AG272FCX 27-inch FHD monitors are both 1800R curved displays for greater immersion. They both offer variable refresh rates (Adaptive Sync technology) that top out at 144Hz. AOC's 31.5-incher offers a higher resolution, 2560 x 1440 pixels, while the 27-inch model uses a 1920 x 1080 pixels panel.

Looking through the respective data sheets for the above monitors reveals that their vertical scanning frequency stats are identical at 48-146Hz. This means that while using a suitable AMD FreeSync graphics card your monitor will be able to adjust vertical refresh rates between 48-146Hz - as long as your card can keep up. Other eye-friendly monitor hardware niceties include AOC Flicker-Free technology and AOC Low Blue Light Mode.
For gamers AOC implements a Low Input Lag mode which bypasses most of the monitor’s internal processing. Providing better visibility in some dark and murky games you can use the AOC Shadow Control option. These settings can be toggled and adjusted via the AOC QuickSwitch keypad where you will also find presets for FPS, Racing, RTS and customisable game modes.
If you've noticed the AOC AGON range previously, the styling and stands on offer will hold no surprises. These angular aluminium supports provide height, swivel and tilt adjustments and are lit up by tri-colour LED downlighting from the monitor frame. If you don't like the stand you can always make use of any 100x100 VESA mount.
AOC tells us that the AGON AG322QCX and AGON AG272FCX will both become available in May 2017. The MSRPs have been set at £519 and £389 respectively.
