Today at Computex Taipei, Gigabyte has unveiled a tidal wave of computer gear. The headline products on show include its 8 Series motherboards, an “Ultrablade” gaming laptop, a touchscreen convertible, more WindForce graphics cards and many peripherals.

Motherboards

The Gigabyte 8 Series have been launched and this range includes over 30 models and variations, built to support 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors and based on Intel® 8 Series chipsets. All these new motherboards feature ultra-durable components, an all new UEFI BIOS interface and EasyTune hardware tweaking.

Of all these new motherboards Gigabyte would like to bring your attention to its two new G1-Killer gaming motherboards, the G1.Sniper 5 and G1.Sniper – these feature AMP-UP audio. Also it is particularly proud of the new motherboards specially built for overclocking; the Z87X-OC and Z87X-OC Force.

The new introductions aren’t all Intel based though, Gigabyte also unveiled its new Mini-ITX F2A85XN-WiFi motherboard, supporting FM2 AMD A-Series/Athlon-Series APUs, including the new Richland APUs.

Graphics cards

Gigabyte is emphasising a new cooling system which will come to its graphic card ranges. The WINDFORCE 3X 2 SLOT 450W Cooling System is the new cooler on the block. Gigabyte says it is slim “but even more powerful” and uses its own “Triangle Cool” tech and copper heatpipes. Impressively the heat dissipation provides a 21 per cent improvement over the stock fan.

Laptops, convertibles and desktops

Gigabyte is particularly proud of its 15.6-inch P35K Ultrablade Gaming Laptop. It uses a 4th Gen Intel Core i7 paired with an Nvidia GTX 765M GPU. This 1080p screened Ultrabook is just 21mm thick and weighs 2.2Kg.

A new convertible, the Gigabyte U21M, features a 180 degree swivel 11.6-inch touchscreen. It’s a mere 20mm thick and packs a lot of storage into its small 1.49Kg frame; with both a high-speed 256GB mSATA SSD and a large 1TB 2.5” HDD.

The Gigabyte Brix will be on show in various configurations and also the company showed the GB-AF21TS, its latest 21.5-inch All-in-One PC based on Thin Mini-ITX. This AiO uses one of the latest 4th Gen Intel Core processors behind the edge-to-edge Windows 8 ready touchscreen.

Peripherals and other accessories

Gigabyte also has a large range of new input and other peripherals that it will show off during Computex. It specifically mentions the Aivia Neon series which focuses on minimal but beautifully functional designs.

That P35K looks superb, excellent spec, subtle styling, presumably excellent built quality (hopefully), IPS screen (hopefully matte finish!) *grool*
