Three times lucky

According to online reports, the GA-H55M-S2H comes with two DDR3 DIMM slots but fails to include either FireWire, eSATA or Gigabyte's signature Ultra Durable 3, with its 2 oz copper PCB and solid-state capacitors.

Meanwhile, the GA-H55M-UD2H doesn't hold back, offering not just all the aforementioned lacking features, but four DDR3 slots to boot.

As far as other specs go, the two mATX boards are said to sport six SATA 3Gbps ports, two PCI-E x16 slots, two PCI, HDMI, DVI and D-Sub connections and a seven-phase CPU VRM.

In addition to coming fully featured, the GA-H55-UD3H uses its extra real estate to add in some additional slots, so it boasts four PCIs, two PCI-E x16, and an x PCI-E x1. Only thing it apparently doesn't have is eSATA.

Gigabyte currently ships 11 models with USB 3.0, based on the Intel X58, Intel P55 and AMD 700 series chipsets. The latest board to tip up with USB 3.0 is the GA-H57M-USB3, pictured at the bottom of the page.

I'm intrigued: there appears to be an ATI logo on the H57M-USB3. Any ideas what that's doing there?

EDIT: google was my friend - it's just advertising the availability of CrossFire X…
