ZOTAC launched its first nForce 630i-based mini ITX platform just a matter of months ago in the form of its nForce 630i ITX, and has now announced an upgraded model with the key missing ingredient; support for Wi-Fi.
The new and imaginatively-titled nForce 630i ITX Wi-Fi, pictured below, takes the same Core 2-supporting, GeForce 7100-based platform and adds support for wireless 802.11b/g connectivity into its minuscule 170mm x 170mm dimension.
With a 1,333MHz FSB and support for DDR2-800, it's a fairly potent little board. Throw on an el-cheapo Core 2 Duo processor, and you'd get a small-but-capable HTPC solution with GeForce 7-based graphics that support DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3.
The added Wi-Fi is useful, but the board still has one little downside - the ageing on-board graphics won't provide any hardware-level support for H.264 and VC-1 decoding, so you'll have to rely on your CPU to do most of the media-orientated legwork.
Not a bad little board for a little nettop-type box, though.
