Believe the hype?
Samsung is doing its best to heighten the anticipation for its forthcoming Galaxy Tab announcement with another teaser which seems to show the new tablet's textured surface.
Mobile-device has previously reported that Samsung is readying a big tablet announcement and commentators have predicted that a medium sized 8.9 inch version of the Galaxy Tab is in the pipeline.
The firm posted a teaser picture on its Samsung Mobile Facebook page last week promising ‘more surprises' at its ‘Unpacked' event on 22 March and now there is a new arrival on its Facebook page.
The page seems to show another partial image of the tablet with a textured surface, much like the back of its 10.1 inch tablet which was shown off at MWC.
Meanwhile, Samsung's biggest Galaxy Tablet, at 10.1 inches is available to pre-order on Clove's website for £600.
The tablet sports Android Honeycomb OS, 4G connectivity, a dual core processor, 1GB ram, surround-sound speakers, 8MP and 2MP cameras and is even lighter than the iPad 2.
While the tablet undoubtedly has a pretty impressive spec, it is pricier (according to the website's listing) than Apple's iPad and Motorola's Xoom, which also runs Honeycomb.
It will be interesting to see whether the official price from Samsung is around £600 or less and of course how much the rumoured 8.9 inch tablet will set consumers back.
