Eurocom has itself a history of adding Intel's latest-greatest CPUs to its workstation-class notebooks, and it's wasting no time with the wicked-fast Core i7 980X.
Launched a little under a week ago, Intel's hexa-core part became the world's fastest desktop CPU and can now be enjoyed in mobile form via Eurocom's D900F Panther.
The self-proclaimed "Mobile Workstation" measures a chunky 397mm x 298mm x 51-60mm, but there's enough power on offer to put most other notebooks to shame.
Intel's latest CPU - or a choice of Xeon parts - is accompanied by up to 24GB of DDR3 memory, a choice of high-end NVIDIA GeForce or Quadro graphics cards, up to 2.5TB of storage capacity and there's room for a Blu-ray burner, too.
The 17in display offers a 1,920x1,200 resolution, and a 12-cell battery should keep you going for at least a little while.
Pricing for a model equipped with the hexa-core Core i7 980X starts at £2,368, but get creative with Eurocom's configuration options and you can easily break past the £10,000 mark.
The D900F Panther's complete specifications can be found at Eurocom.com.
