Samsung has unveiled its next netbook offering, the N310, and has stepped away from the mould of the average netbook with a fresh new takes on aesthetics.
The system, pictured by akihabaranews.com, is full of rounded edges and has a toy-like appearance that may help it stand out from the netbook crowd.
It's rumoured to be launching "soon" in international markets, and though its pebble-like shell is a little different, it's expected to offer the traditional 1GB of RAM, 10.1in display, a 160GB hard drive and up to 11 hours of battery life with a presumably-optional enhanced battery.
Samsung's first foray into the netbook market took the form of the Intel Atom-powered NC10, but the South Korean manufacturer surprised us all by announced that its NC20 successor would utilise VIA's Nano processor instead.
As for the N310, Samsung is yet to confirm its processor of choice, but the above image appears to show what looks a lot like an Intel Atom logo below the keyboard of the open system. Perhaps Samsung's come back to Intel's Atom for some of that upcoming 2GHz goodness?
