If you've been shopping on the Tesco Direct website today, you may have stumbled on what appears to be a yet-to-be-announced Dell netbook.

The device, listed strangely as a "Dell Inspiron Z530 1GB 12in Web Browser", could possibly be a 12in derivative of Dell's recently-launched Mini Inspiron 9.

We'd waited a while for Dell's netbook to arrive, and the 8.9in Mini Inspiron 9 ultimately failed to meet expectations by offering more of the same.

A 12in model, however, could prove to be a little more interesting. The trouble is, Tesco's product listing is so confused that we're not entirely certain what the device is. As an example, the image used to advertise the all-new netbook is in fact the aforementioned Mini Inspiron 9.

Furthermore, Tesco states that the device features a 1.33Ghz Intel Atom Z530 processor. The Z530, however, is a 1.6GHz Silverthorne chip for MIDs and UMPCs. The Tesco-provided specification, therefore, is possibly nothing more than a mish-mash of misleading information.

We'd be interested in seeing a 12in netbook, but we'll wait for Dell's official announcement. With Tesco stating that the 12in device will launch October 6th, we might not have long to wait.

Hmmm at the price and sort of specs mentioned I wouldnt be suprised if it's just the Mini 9.

There was a 12" coming though.. Slim or something.
