The 4600 offers nearly the same level of expandability as its predecessor, the Dimension 4550, in a chassis that takes up significantly less space.
"Many of our consumer and small business customers require versatile desktops that occupy less space," said Emily Campbell, Senior Desktop Brand Manager, EMEA. "Though smaller than it's predecessor, the 4600 has more than enough power to handle multimedia tasks like manipulating digital photos and creating digital video, and is well suited to handle business productivity applications, email and browsing the web." At a starting price of £479 the Dimension 4600 can accommodate up to two optical drives, such as a DVD-ROM and a CD-RW, supports sound cards like the Creative Labs Audigy(tm) 2, and also supports the 128MB Radeon(tm) 9800 card for consumers who want to play the latest 3D games at smooth frame rates. Pricing Information For £679, the Dimension 4600 includes a 2.66 GHz Pentium 4 processor, 256MB Dual Channel DDR-333 memory, a 60GB 7200rpm hard drive, a 48X CD-RW drive and a 15" Flat Panel monitor.
