London, UK-- (27th May, 2008)  -- Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, was ranked No. 1 by iSuppli in the world in the dynamic random access memory (DRAM) module supplier market for 2007, based on revenues. According to a recent report from the independent research company, Kingston Technology had over $2.2 billion (U.S.) in sales, representing over 27 percent of the total global DRAM market.

“We empower our employees to do their best as they are the strength of this company,” said John Tu, co-founder, Kingston Technology. “It is their commitment and hard work forging and maintaining strong relationships with our partners, vendors and suppliers that allow us the good fortune to be in this position.”

“The worldwide need for DRAM continues to grow and Kingston is a leading supplier,” said David Sun, co-founder, Kingston. “When John and I started Kingston, we wanted to set the standard for high-quality memory and customer service. I believe that ideal is what keeps us in the lead.”

Kingston’s DRAM module products include branded or system-specific memory; ValueRAM memory built to JEDEC specs and designed for system integrators and white box builders; and HyperX memory for gamers and PC enthusiasts who demand higher performance and speed. Founded in 1987 with a single offering, Kingston Technology now makes and sells over 2,000 memory products.

The iSuppli report only covered DRAM module revenues and did not include OEM contract manufacturing or Flash memory sales. In March, Kingston Technology announced that its 2007 global revenues soared to $4.5 billion, the highest in company history.
