Revolutionary AI features
AI Net: AI Series motherboards support Gigabit LAN by integrating the Marvell LAN controller. They come equipped with a unique net-diagnosing utility-- VCT (Virtual Cable Tester). The controller detects net connection status up to 100m from remote locations and helps users improve network quality. This utility, worth thousands of dollars on the market, is implemented to desktop motherboards for the first time.
AI BIOS: This feature includes three unique technologies. CrashFree BIOS 2 reboots the system and performs a recovery procedure by using the motherboard support CD when corruption of the original BIOS occurs. Build a WLAN with ease
The Wi-Fi slot, based on the 802.11b standard, is specifically designed for the ASUS WiFi-b WLAN card to set up an environment for home wireless LAN. The ASUS WiFi-b WLAN card includes AP (access point) functions to save the extra cost of an actual AP. In addition, the card comes with user-friendly utilities and applications that allow quick connection to notebooks, PDAs and other WLAN peripherals. The exclusive slot also supports the 802.11g standard for future upgrades.

The P4S800D-E Deluxe is based on the 3.2GHz Pentium 4 processor on 800MHz FSB and adopted a dual-channel DDR 400 design for bandwidth up to 6.4GB/sec. Leveraging MuTIOL technology, which enhances bus bandwidth between the Northbridge and Southbridge to 1GB/sec, it provides superior data transfer. A new power design further allows the motherboard to support the next-generation Prescott processor.

According to test figures from SiS, the 655TX boasted performance comparable to that of the Intel 875P. The all-new SiS chipset incorporated HyperStreaming(tm) proprietary technology. It enables low latency of access to memory, VGA and hard disk, speeds up performance of file copying and enhances throughput of Internet downloading.
