LONDON - October 30, 2002- NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that its NVIDIA nForceÔ platform processors were chosen by Sony Electronics Inc. for inclusion in Sony's new VAIO® desktop digital media PCs. One of the fastest growing PC companies in the world, Sony - a world leader in product innovation for digital media applications, devices and platforms - saw its computer shipments grow faster than those of any other major brand in 2001, increasing to 23.7 per cent in the second quarter of this year, according to research firm Gartner Dataquest.

The NVIDIA nForce platform processors provide the new Sony® VAIO PCV-RXA842 digital media PC (available now from major retailers nationwide) with a host of innovative and performance-enhancing features, including award-winning GeForceÔ2 MX graphics, a revolutionary DDR 266MHz memory subsystem for reducing overall system latency and a supercharged networking subsystem that delivers smooth video and crystal clear audio playback when streaming data over a typical broadband connection.
