PRESS RELEASE

December 19th 2019, Taipei Taiwan – GIGABYTE is pleased to officially announce two new motherboards perfectly engineered to build your next workstation or server system and give your enterprise a new success story in 2020.

The MU71-SU0 is a single socket ATX motherboard ready for Intel’s new Xeon W-3200 processor. This new platform is purpose built and optimized for advanced workstation professionals, enabling fast visualization, simulations and renderings with up to 28 cores, 56 threads, a maximum base frequency of 3.7 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.6GHz in a single socket solution. The MU71-SU0 can also be used instead for a single 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Family processor that features support for Intel® Optane DC Persistent Memory Modules.

This new motherboard features eight DIMM slots for a maximum of 1TB of DDR4 memory, seven PCIe Gen 3.0 expansion slots, and an onboard M.2 slot for high speed NVMe storage. It also includes an Aspeed AST2500 BMC and dedicated MLAN port for remote management allowing the board to be adopted into a server platform that requires higher clock speeds.

Meanwhile, GIGABYTE has also released a new version of our dual socket 2nd Gen. Intel Xeon Scalable processor server motherboard series. The MD71-HB1 is an E-ATX form factor board similar in design to our highly popular MD71-HB0 board, but reduces the number of DIMM slots from eight to six in total in order to increase support to a total of seven PCIe expansion slots, providing extra capacity and flexibility for add-on accelerator cards or storage & networking devices.

Engineer your next success story today with GIGABYTE’s new additions to our workstation and server motherboard product family.
