MSI launches two new Gaming notebooks - Bringing advanced processing technology to your notebook

London, 25th November 2009: MSI, the manufacturers of notebooks and components has today announced the UK launch of its Core i7 quad-core notebooks, the new GT740 and GT640 . Powered by the most advanced Intel Core i7 processor, the GT740 and the GT640 offers the optimum speed experience for serious gamers. Not to mention its ECO Engine power management system, exclusive Cinema Pro Technology, High-end nVIDA GeForce GTS 250M 3D discrete graphics card an an impressive 5 SRS premium sound high-fidelity speakers (exclusive to GT740). Available in 15.4 and 17 inch widescreen displays, both machines come equipt with Windows 7, meaning the GT640 and GT740 are not just for gaming but provide the ultimate multi media package.

Leading the way in notebook technology both models include MSIs exclusive Eco Engine Power Management system, allowing you to select from five different user scenarios including text processing, gaming, movie viewing, presentations and optimized settings for screen brightness. Other features include sleep, automatic system sleep activation, and processor performace.

To truly bring your experience to life the GT series comes equipped with cinema pro technology, enabling you to switch to movie mode at the touch of a button, bringing you a more detailed display quality so you can enjoy your movies to the max.
Weighing in at just 3.2kg for the GT740 and just 2.7kg for the GT640, these brand new notebooks from MSI are characteristically slim and light, making them portable powerhouses particularly amongst their counterparts.

Encased in a black and red alloy construction and finished with a brushed metal texturing these machines are typically designed for high performance and elegance.

Both models are distinguished by their sound function and widescreen display, the GT740 is equipped with five SRS premium sound speakers (including a sub woofer), adding perfect sound quality to compliment the incredibly fluid and ultra crisp rendering of even the most complex and dynamic 3D scenes from the GTS 250M 3D discrete graphics card.

Still delivering high quality sound the GT640 comes with two high definition speakers, ensuring a more discrete sound without compromising on outstanding quality.

The GT740 will be available from November priced at 1399.

The GT640 will be available from December priced at 1349.
