There's fast, there's turbocharged, and then there's the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 4GB graphics card. Housing as much power as two GTX 680s in SLI and presented rather nicely, this is the one graphics card to rule them all, though you'll have to stump up £850 or so for the privilege.

Not quite got that kind of scratch lying around? How about PowerColor's PCS+ HD7850, tentatively priced at £200. Fast, cool, quiet and overclockable, what's not to like?

But there are other ways to speed up your PC. How about adding an SSD to the system to act as a fast cache? We've seen a few before, granted, but Crucial's ticks many of the right boxes.

Enthusiasts are likely to know that Intel's 3rd Generation Core CPUs, aka Ivy Bridge, play nicely with high-speed DDR3 memory. G.Skill is the first to jump on the bandwagon with its TridentX memory, rated at a blistering 2,400MHz.

In other news, The Pirate Bay is set to be 'blocked' in the UK, Intel demos a teeny-weeny computer, Microsoft is to launch pay-monthly Xbox 360, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone is finally unveiled, and NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 670 GPU is soon to be the third 600-series card.

Oh, and don't forget to enter our rather wonderful and Western Digital and Corsair competitions.
