Taipei, Taiwan (26th January, 2017) — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced Swift PG258Q, a 24.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate — the world’s fastest — and NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ technology for incredibly smooth and fast gameplay. ROG Swift PG258Q is designed for eSports and fast-paced action games, it has a 1ms (GTG) response time and NVIDIA Ultra Low Motion Blur technology for ultra-realistic, blur-free visuals. Its gaming-inspired design features the customizable Light Signature for unique light projections on any desktop surface.
The world’s fastest 240Hz refresh rate & NVIDIA G-SYNC technology
ROG Swift PG258Q has an incredibly-fast 240Hz native refresh rate[1] without overclocking, and is twice as fast as conventional 120Hz monitors. This results in amazingly-fluid gaming visuals with no frustrating lag or motion blur, giving gamers the upper hand in first-person shooters, racing, real-time strategy and sports titles. It also features NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, which eliminates screen tearing, and minimizes display stutter and input lag. The ultra-fast refresh rate, combined with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, delivers the smoothest, fastest, and most breathtaking visuals imaginable.
1ms GTG response time, NVIDIA Ultra Low Motion Blur technology for super-fluid gaming visuals
ROG Swift PG258Q is the fastest in its class, with a 1ms GTG response time and NVIDIA Ultra Low Motion Blur technology to eliminate smearing and motion blur. Together, they make moving visuals look sharper, so gameplay is more fluid and responsive.
Gaming-inspired aesthetics with customizable Light Signature
ROG Swift PG258Q has a futuristic, gaming-inspired design that features strong and bold lines, as well as the built-in customizable Light Signature to add ambience to any gaming set up. Its frameless design also makes it perfect for multi-display setup for immersive surround gaming.
Light Signature lets gamers create and customize ROG Swift PG258Q’s light-projection effects. It includes two ROG logo covers and three blank covers that can be customized with a marker to create unique light projections onto the desktop surface at the foot of the monitor.
Exclusive ASUS GamePlus & ASUS GameVisual technologies
ROG Swift PG258Q features the ASUS GamePlus hotkey for in-game enhancements like a crosshair overlay, an onscreen timer, a frames per second (FPS) counter and a display-alignment function.
The crosshair overlay provides four different crosshair options; while the onscreen timer positioned on the left of the screen helps gamers keep track of elapsed gaming time. The FPS counter lets users know how smoothly the game is running. The display alignment function provides three alignment lines on all four sides of the monitor to take the guesswork out of multi-display setups.
ROG Swift PG258Q also features ASUS GameVisual technology to give users up to six preset display modes (Racing, RTS/RPG, FPS (First-Person Shooter), Scenery, Cinema and sRGB) to suit different game genres. This unique feature can be easily accessed via the five-way joystick or on the On Screen Display settings menu.
NVIDIA 3D Vision-ready
ROG Swift PG258Q is also compatible with the NVIDIA 3D Vision™ 2 kit to open up a world of 3D entertainment. All that is required is an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card-equipped PC and 3D glasses for a more immersive gaming and movie experience. The latest NVIDIA 3D LightBoost™ provides brighter 3D visuals, without an increase in energy consumption.
