Taipei 31st October 2002- First International Computer, Inc. (FIC) is pleased to announce the release of yet another space saving PC system to add to the successful range of Small Form Factor solutions already available. The Falcon CR51 is a stylish, low cost solution with all the features and functionality of a regular PC in a practical, space saving package.

Gene Sheu, president of the FIC Networking and Information Group was keen to explain the advantages of the Falcon CR51. In a statement Sheu commented, “The Falcon CR51 is the newest space saving PC system in the FIC range and is ideal for use in the home or office if space is an issue. The advanced motherboard used in this product has allowed us to make it very compact without sacrificing any features or functions.”

The motherboard at the heart of the Falcon CR51 is a mini iTX small form factor design, just 170mm x 170mm, with VIA C3 EBGA 933MHz processor, Apollo PLE133/VT8231 chipset and up to 512MB of SDRAM. Although very small in size, the Falcon CR51 is packed with integrated features including AC97 codec audio functions, AGP 2D/3D graphics acceleration, 10/100 Ethernet LAN port, 4 USB ports and a low profile PCI expansion slot. The Falcon CR51 also supports a standard 3.5” HDD and a standard optical disk drive.

The elegant design and careful construction of the Falcon CR51 has resulted in a stylish looking machine with very low power consumption and very low acoustic levels. The low power consumption also means that very little heat is generated and the unit only requires a single fan to keep it cool. The Falcon CR51 is powered by a 150W Flex ATX power supply.
