It's the RTS that started it all
Ok, so maybe Command and Conquer didn't kick off the RTS genre but it damn sure did a fine job of giving us RTS combat... even if build and rush pretty much always won.Anyway, here's the best news today so far in that Electronic Arts have made the original Command and Conquer a FREE download to mark the 12th anniversary of the series.
All you have to do is head to www.commandandconquer.com to download. Be warned it takes a bit of fiddling to get working under XP but there's details on how to do it at the website...
And those of us running Vista? Well, it's not official but it seems to working on my rig... dontcha just love compatibility mode?
