Don't think MW3 was deserving of any merit award this time around - everyone seems to be of the opinion that it was “samey”, although I'd tentatively suggest that MW3's story was much better than MW2's.

I voted for BF3 in the GAME section of the awards, but I'd also like to see LA Noire get something - just for daring to be a bit different.

Batman etc were a bit meh to me, and I've still to play through the latest Assassin's Creed (although I'm really enjoying Brotherhood at the moment).
Why is BF3 only in the audio achievement category? Confused as im pretty sure it was amazing action and a best game.

Skyrim and bf3 are my choices, hard to decide really as two totally epic and different games!.
When does it close? Hopefully ME3 can get a play (6th of march) and grab alot of attention before hand :P
Well, BF3 is also in the best MP category…..but still, it deserves to be in best game, artistic and action as well.

Portal 2 in action, design and best game? WTF?

I tend to agree with you. Why is MW3 and not BF3 in this list?
