A posting on Amazon.com has got tongues wagging in the last couple of days about how much space you actually need to play Kinect in your living room.

Microsoft has so far been tight-lipped on the matter, but Amazon apparently stated in an advertisement for Kinect that ""You'll need any Xbox 360 console, a Kinect sensor, Kinect games and 6 feet between you and your television for play space."

If you now navigate to Microsoft's official product page today, you'll find the details are confirmed by clicking on the tab that says "before you buy."

Here's the link directly to the official site

Do you have the space to play Kinect?

So that's most bedroom users ruled out now then?

I really can't see Kinect being all that successful tbh, but good luck to them.

Rules out those of us who are in spare rooms where the consoles and pc's live.

The room the 360 and PC are in (PC on a Ikea Jerker Desk) and a spare bed are all crammed into a spare box room that measures 11ft by 7ft. Kinect ruled out instantly. Wasn't to fused on one anyway. I don't even think there is 6ft of space in the living room if I moved it.

I meant bedroom, my bad :(.
Thank god I have enough space to use Kinect in my living room!

Now if someone can actually convince me it's worth spending £130+ to add a silly camera to my 360 just so that I can wave around like a lunatic, then I might just begin to consider buying one.
