We'd be happy to recommend any of the three Sennheiser models - each at its own very distinct price-point.

Even the low-cost PX10 sounded pretty good - not as quite as good as the others but good. And a two-year guarantee on such an inexpensive item is impressive, as well as being likely to instil confidence.

The relatively short (one-metre) cable is a negative but not a big enough one to stop the Sennheiser PX10, at around £10, meriting a HEXUS Good Value award.

Deciding between the MX90VC earphones and the PMX70 neckband model is a tough call, especially since it was hard to say that one sounded better than the other. Both sounded very good indeed.

However, the weird ears were asked to assist in the voting and so the MX90VC takes a HEXUS Recommended award while the PMX70 Sport - costing about £10 less (and, the ears say, considerably more comfortable) - gets top spot and the HEXUS Editor's Choice accolade.

Nonetheless, my search for comfy earphones goes on.

Day Trips to Europe

About John Hill

John Hill created the UK's first web site dedicated to day trips to Europe, perversely-named DayTripsToEurope.co.uk.

This, in one of his more modest moods, he described as "Utterly brilliant and completely without equal".

John is a technology journalist and comedy writer and has been for over 20 years. He's earned a decent living as a journo but sadly hasn't yet made it big on the comedy scene (nor, in some people's opinions, is he ever likely to!).
