We've heard your preferences when it comes to gaming mice and keyboards, so let's now turn our attention to the other key peripheral: gaming headsets.

There's a myriad of options out there, with prices starting from under £10 and rising to as much as £250. A staggering amount of choice for a wide range of platforms, but which features really matter, and how do you identify a truly great set of cans?

To find out, we're putting the question to you: which headset do you use for gaming? Let us know your choices using the comments facility below, and tell us how your particular headset has fared during real-world use.

Have a tech-related question you'd like to see featured as the QOTW? Fire it over using our contact form and it may well appear on the HEXUS website! We're always open to ideas, and while we can't promise that all questions will be published, we'd love to hear your suggestions.

Expensive but back when I got them in May 2012 I had the spare cash and was actively raiding in WoW so on the headset a lot. Fast forward 3 years later they are still going strong and I still love them.
Logitech g35 Bought it used but for only 17e and no obvious marks that its used.
Razer Megalodon. They works just as well under Linux, as they did when I was running Windows many moons ago.
Not a gaming headset really, I have Sennheiser HD 595 and an Asus Xonar Essence sound card with a built-in headphone amp to drive them. I've had the headphones for over five years and they are perfect.
