If the buzz around 3D TVs has got you all hot under the collar, you may perhaps be interested in reports that the John Lewis Partnership, has taken the honours of being the first UK-based retailer to offer Samsung's UE40C7000 3D TV.

For the sum of £1799, this 40-inch piece of 3D marvel is available to purchase online and, from selected stores. Factoring in the cost of 3D glasses, the use of which is necessitated by the product's implementation of active 3D technology, will leave you with a thrilling experience in more ways than one.

Returning to the unit itself for a moment, the UE40C7000 comes with an integrated Freeview HD tuner, combined with LED-backlit technology and Samsung's own host of processing technologies to deliver an enhanced viewing experience.

Obviously determined on making the plunge into 3D TV a memorable one, a host of accessories from 3D Blu-ray players, to 3D films are also available.
