Samsung wasn't short of new product announcements earlier this month at CES, but clearly there's still room for more as the South Korean consumer electronics giant has just rolled out five new point-and-shoot cameras.

The pick of the bunch, arguably, is the WB650 - a new addition to Samsung's high-end compact WB-series range that offers a wide-angle 24mm Schneider lens, a 15x optical zoom, a 3in AMOLED display and geo-tagging functionality via built-in GPS.

Not bad for a 12.2 megapixel camera that measures under 30mm thick, and it'll happily shoot 720p H.264 video at 30fps, too, which can later be played back on your big-screen display via the WB650's HDMI output.

Samsung expects the shooter to arrive at retail in March priced at £299, but for those who aren't versed in geo-tagging, a WB600 model without GPS and an LCD display as opposed to AMOLED will also be available priced at £249.99.

Further down the scale, the company's newly-announced ST70 and ST60 offer 14.2 megapixel and 12.2 megapixel imaging, respectively, as well as a 2.7in LCD display and up to 5x optical zoom in an ultra-slim 16.6mm frame. Expect these to be available next month priced at £179.99 and £149.99, respectively. Like the WB650 and WB600, the new ST-series additions will also shoot 720p H.264 video at 30fps.

Finally, the PL-series also gets a refresh with the introduction of the PL80 - a 12.2 megapixel point-and-shoot that promises "unprecedented value for the casual shooter". Arriving in March priced at £129.99, it offers a 28mm wide-angle lens, 5x optical zoom and Dual Image Stabilisation. Video recording also makes the cut, but you'll have to settle for 640x480 AVI at 30fps. Need every other detail? Hit the press releases below.
