Consumer edition of the Gear VR now available to buy online on the Samsung Shop
London, UK – December 2, 2015 – Samsung Electronics today announced the latest addition to its wearables category, the Gear VR, is now available to buy on the Samsung Shop, with major retailers including O2 to follow early in the new year.
Aimed at consumers, the latest edition of the Gear VR is compatible with the Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge, leveraging each device’s super AMOLED display to provide the colour, clarity and performance needed for an amazing virtual reality experience.
The new Samsung Gear VR is 19 per cent lighter than the previous Gear VR Innovator Edition, and includes new foam cushioning to make the device even more comfortable to wear. In addition, the Gear VR’s touchpad provides greater control while enjoying the robust selection of film, gaming, 360 degree video and experiential content available for Gear VR.
The Samsung Gear VR will be available in Frost White from the Samsung Shop and O2 with an RRP of £80.
