Xbox LIVE® Gold subscribers can now buy or rent movies without subscription from blinkbox - the UK's best movie streaming service* - directly from the Xbox LIVE dashboard
blinkbox first launched an app on Xbox LIVE in December 2011 and it has already been downloaded over 450,000 times. Now this latest version - launching 17th July - allows users to buy or rent the latest releases, without subscription, using the app and then watch them instantly via their Xbox 360 console. Simple.
Project X, This Means War, and John Carter are just a few of the new releases now available using the blinkbox app for Xbox LIVE.
Previously the app allowed blinkbox customers to view movies or TV shows they had already purchased. Following the latest update, customers can buy, rent or browse the 10,000 titles all in one place on Xbox 360®.
The updated blinkbox app now means a great movie experience is even easier:
- 1. Download the blinkbox app from the Xbox LIVE apps marketplace
- 2. Once downloaded, open the app and follow the onscreen instructions to create a blinkbox account
- 3. Once registered, link your blinkbox account with your Xbox LIVE gamertag
- 4. Make sure you have a recent credit or debit card registered on you Xbox LIVE account
- 5. Sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy the movie!
With the latest releases available to stream instantly on the same day as their Blu-ray and DVD release, and absolutely no subscription required, blinkbox is the perfect way to experience great movies on any device.
