Warrington, United Kingdom - 18 June 2012, VIP Computers, one of the UK's largest independent distributors of components, peripherals and consumer products, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as an authorised distributor for Seagate in the UK.
Duncan McAuley, purchasing director of VIP Computers, said: "We are delighted to be launching with Seagate. This is a massive vendor acquisition for VIP and one that we have been working towards for four years.
"A direct relationship on hard drives has been the missing element for VIP and will strengthen our offering considerably," McAuley continued.
VIP will look to drive incremental growth through the channel by focusing on penetration into new customers as well as promoting the benefits of buying Seagate.

Under the agreement, VIP will now have a wider range of products, increased stock holding, and all purchases made through VIP will qualify for customer incentives through any future Seagate partner programs.
