Jam Sessions Through A Marshall Stack!
Most HEXUS readers will only get to play Jam Sessions in a home/shop environment. However, at their launch party, Ubisoft organised real bands with real amps to play real songs with a real DS. We've been asked for this in the forums - so here is an impromptu, yap-free, mix of Live Jam Sessions...

Yap-free Mr Pumpman - yap free
cheers Andrej :) the yapping I was on about was the person being interviewed not, not the voice over , but I appreciate you taking the time to do this :)
No problem :~)
On the night, we were there for around 5 songs from each band - so the ‘special-ness’ of being able to take a £99 bit of game hardware and play like a pro wore off (it just seemed kind of normal after a while!)…
…but, you're right, that needed to be brought to the masses
Have to say that Jam Sessions cannot actually cure a ‘lack of rhythm’ - but it certainly gets your fingers to the right part of the fret board a lot easier than on the real thing
One more in the ‘Jam Sessions’ series when Nick takes the final/production kit apart shortly :)

I've also had a go on this, interesting concept, and I think kudos to ubisoft for getting the simulation as realistic as possible considering the limitations of the ds.
Still trying to get my head around certain exercises of the game.

…kudos to ubisoft…
And a big cheers for anyone who manages to take gaming/consoles/interaction into any new direction
I have tried to get my 10 year old to try guitar - unfortunately he gets too frustrated at the lack of progress form ‘regular lessons’…
…but, with something like this, I reckon he can ‘dance around strumming like a moron’ and keep hitting the right notes :)
