Conclusion

PC Specialist's Vulcan 440 wraps an array of high-end hardware in a sleek, well-put-together package that's primed for 4K gaming.

Where do you draw the line on a gaming PC? So much depends on budget, and if that isn't a concern, well hey, good on you for picking up a Core i7-5960X and a couple of Titan X graphics cards.

For enthusiasts without unlimited funds, it tends to be a different proposition and the question that usually crops up is should you draw the line at, say, Core i5 and GTX 970, or should you go the extra yard and plump for Core i7 and GTX 980?

A tough call, and though we'd lean toward the former based on cost alone, there's no denying that the latter is a tasty combination for performance purists. Aiming at that particular crowd, PC Specialist's Vulcan 440 wraps an array of high-end hardware in a sleek, well-put-together package that's primed for 4K gaming.

4.6GHz i7-4790K, GTX 980, 16GB DDR3, 500GB SSD. This is in many ways the dream PC, though that isn't to say it's perfect. Noise levels could certainly be lower, and we'd have preferred a factory-overclocked GTX 980, but these are small criticisms of what's ultimately a potent gaming rig.
