Thoughts

Corsair has made the conclusion abundantly simple for us. If you run your system at default or near-default speeds and want the absolute last drop of performance, there's little need to look at any other RAM modules, frankly. Corsair's also felt confident in manipulating Samsung's DDR500 ICs to produce the lowest latency unbuffered memory available right now. Our benchmarks have shown that 2-2-2-5 timings, as specced by the TwinX-3200XLPRO pack, can lead to an increase in performance that's usually associated with the next processor up. But what if there's no better processor?. In that case, you'll be in possession of one lean, mean, performance machine.

By dint of the Ā£250 asking price, we see the 3200XLPRO's being reserved for high-end systems. Do your Pentium 4 3.4GHz or AMD Model 3xxx+ / FX-53 a favour and feed it some of Corsair's very finest low-latency memory. The bottom line is that there's absolutely nothing better for default performance. RAM equipped with Winbond's BH-5 chips is currently hot property amongst enthusiasts. Corsair's TwinX-3200XLPRO now easily displaces it as our A-listed module(s) for users who want blisteringly fast performance out of the box.
