Conclusion

Performance is about as handsome as GTX 970 gets, making this particular card a good fit for gamers who run full-HD or QHD monitors.

EVGA continues to see promise in the GeForce GTX 970 GPU and has released a well-overclocked model at a competitive price point. Now equipped with a revised cooler and running at 1,400MHz boost out of the box, the £280 card, known as the Super Superclocked, is cool and quiet into the bargain.

Performance is about as handsome as GTX 970 gets, making this particular card a good fit for gamers who run full-HD or QHD monitors. And tellingly for the user deciding how best to spend their graphics budget, EVGA's card is able to match a price-comparable Radeon R9 290X in our slew of tests.

Though of no practical hindrance in our benchmarks the GTX 970 memory issue will likely rumble on for a while yet. The GPU remains a fine choice for the enthusiast, while EVGA's presentation, attention to detail and warranty terms are second to none.

Those considering investing in a decent graphics card would do well to take a look at EVGA's GTX 970 Super Superclocked.

I currently run a 7770 Vapour X powering a 2560 x 1440 monitor. I do not game but when a video is rendered at full resolution it is momentarily blocky.
My main need is quietness and as low power as possible (i have a Seasonic fanless 520W) and the two EVGA cards are certainly quiet and use a lot less power than any of the AMD cards.
Bearing in mind i do not game which card should i go for out of the mentioned ones particularly as i may go up to a 4K monitor.
I'd go for the 3975 (Super Superclocked) out of EVGA's current range.
I'm very happy with the performance of mine.
I have one of these. Wanted a card already overclocked at factory so I don't have to bother myself with it. Runs fantastic. Bought the backplate for it.

Alien Isolation and Tomb Raider stay at constant 60FPS (using adaptive vsync and triple buffering) with settings maxed out. Will invest in a better 144hz G-Sync monitor when the prices come down.

The card is very quiet and nice and cool. Impressive upgrade over my MSI GTX 760 Gaming Edition.
EVGA are backing themselves into a corner with their naming convention. I shall wait for the super super superclocked card before making a buying decision.
